Start with your team and search area
Sign in with an account authorised to act for your team, confirm your email and follow any access checks shown. You need responsibility for the team and its location set up. A parent-only account does not itself grant team fixture tools. Check the available Date, Format, Home/away, Level, Pitch, Referee, Cost and Travel filters.
Narrow the possible opponents
Use the filters to narrow possible opponents. Results use your team age group, season and team type, but you still check current availability with each opponent. If no results appear, widen your search or revisit filters.
Check football and practical fit
Shortlist using age group and season, team type, format, level and league context for football fit. For practical fit consider date or date range, home or away and realistic travel, pitch and referee availability, listed costs and responsibilities. Listing details are a starting point, not independent Ballrz certification of suitability.
Send a useful first enquiry
Use the Reply or Open message action available on the selected listing or team. Open message may continue an existing conversation. Include your team’s football context, preferred date, hosting or travel options and whether you would like to discuss a match.
For example: “Hello, we’re [team], playing [age group/team type] [format] at [level]. Do you still need an opponent for [date/range]? We can [host/travel within area]. Would that work for your team?”
Keep youth discussions with responsible adults
Keep youth fixture discussions between responsible adults authorised to act for the team. Parents can coordinate through their team, but parent status alone grants no fixture authority. Keep children’s and players’ private contact details out of public notices.
Agree the fixture together
After both teams confirm interest, move detailed arrangements to the Arrange football friendlies guide. Cover kick-off, venue, pitch, referee, match length, kit, cost and weather responsibilities. Agree responsible contacts and how changes or cancellation will be handled before treating the fixture as agreed.
